Seattle's most exciting 17 piece Big Band, Swingin' at the Speed of Sound!
With repertoire spanning styles from big band’s golden age to the contemporary jazz artists of today, MachOne Jazz Orchestra delivers high
energy, artistic precision and musical dynamism to your event. Since its beginning in 1998, the band has become one of the ’regulars’ on the
Seattle area music scene.
MachOne Jazz Orchestra has performed often at local dance events and park concert series, and is one of the most sought-after groups for
fundraisers, weddings and other special events. Recent highlights include serving as the ’house’ band for the 2009 Frank DeMeiro Jazz Festival
accompanying John Pizzarelli, Sara Gazarek and Carmen Bradford, a Roaring Twenties-themed auction and a glittering New Year’s Eve 2009
Bonza Bash at the Seattle Aquarium.
With a rock-solid rhythm section, strong soloists, tight ensembles and stylistic variety, MachOne keeps people dancing all night long. In addition
to the instrumental powerhouse, Mach One has two vocalists – the songs of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald
(to name a few) come to life when sung by Anders Anderson (Artistic Director/alto sax) and Charlotte Carruthers (piano).
MachOne Jazz Orchestra has a library of over 1,500 songs. These range from big band classics of the 30’s and 40’s and well-known dance numbers
to the latest from Michael Bublé, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Brian Setzer.
Our book also includes many showcase numbers from the Doc Severinsen band, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and others.
We can custom fit the music to your special event needs. Swing, Latin, Ballads, Waltzes, Broadway, Jump & Jive – we can play them all!
For dancing or listening, Mach One can deliver it at the speed of sound!
